Trigger versus ZERO Gloves and Mittens

Trigger versus ZERO Gloves and Mittens

More than two decades ago, LEKI pioneered Trigger, an innovative system designed to create a more direct connection between a skier's hands and their pole grips. The original system used a Trigger Frame Strap worn over the glove, allowing skiers to quickly click in and out of compatible LEKI grips.

Over time, Trigger evolved. LEKI began integrating the Trigger loop directly into the entire glove and mitten collection, eliminating the need for a traditional pole strap and creating a remarkably seamless connection between the hand and the grip. For skiers who use Trigger poles, the result is an integrated system that delivers exceptional power transmission, security, convenience, and performance.

As the Trigger system evolved, LEKI also earned a reputation for making some of the finest ski gloves and mittens in the industry. But while many skiers love the integrated Trigger system, others prefer traditional loop straps or choose to ski without straps altogether. Until now, those skiers could certainly wear LEKI Trigger gloves and mittens, but they included a key feature and additional expense that wasn't needed.

This Is Where ZERO Comes In

For the 26/27 season, LEKI introduces the ZERO collection, a new family of gloves and mittens designed specifically for skiers who do not need an integrated Trigger loop.

ZERO gloves and mittens feature the same commitment to premium materials, craftsmanship, comfort, warmth, and performance found throughout the LEKI glove collection. The primary difference is simple: ZERO products do not have the Trigger frame and loop sewn into the glove or mitten.

Removing that component creates a slightly roomier feel and allows ZERO models to be offered at a lower price than their comparable Trigger counterparts. Nothing unnecessary. Just a premium ski glove or mitten designed to perform.

Trigger or ZERO: Which Should You Choose?

Choosing between Trigger and ZERO comes down to how you prefer to connect with your poles.

Integrated Trigger Loop Choose It If Use With Trigger Poles
Trigger Yes — sewn into the glove or mitten You ski with LEKI Trigger poles and want the most seamless connection between your gloves and grips Clicks directly into a Trigger grip
ZERO No — slightly roomier feel and a lower price You prefer traditional loop straps, ski without straps, or want a premium glove or mitten without the integrated Trigger connection Yes — by wearing the Trigger Frame Strap included with compatible Trigger poles

And choosing ZERO does not mean giving up the ability to use LEKI Trigger poles. ZERO gloves and mittens can still be used with Trigger grips by wearing the Trigger Frame Strap included with compatible Trigger poles.

A LEKI Glove for Every Skier

Two collections. Two ways to connect with your poles. The same commitment to comfort, craftsmanship, and performance.

With the introduction of ZERO, LEKI can now offer a glove or mitten designed around the way virtually every skier chooses to ski. Whether you click directly into a Trigger grip, use a traditional loop strap, or leave the straps behind entirely, there is now a LEKI glove or mitten built for you.

It is another step toward a simple mission LEKI has pursued for decades: making the best poles and gloves in the world for everybody.
